At Another Life, we believe that cultural life plays an essential role in our society, as art and culture create communities, increase well-being, unite people and drive social development.
That is why we work to ensure that more people can practise, experience and work with art and culture on equal terms. In this way, we not only ensure an equal, fair and vibrant cultural life – we also contribute to social cohesion.
In addition to the work in our Knowledge and Community department, we are also involved in advocacy and interest representation. Through our advocacy work, we strive to support, qualify, anchor and establish efforts to promote equal access, representation and improved working environments in cultural life. In this way, we contribute to making this work an integral and permanent part of cultural life. Our advocacy work includes participation in boards, advisory bodies, panel discussions and public debates, as well as other initiatives with a cultural policy impact.
Through our knowledge-based work, we support efforts to ensure equal access, representation and improved working environments, both for individual stakeholders and at a structural level. Through change processes, workshops, peer reviews, reports and handbooks, we make knowledge and opportunities for action accessible to more people. This includes individual stakeholders, networks in the cultural sector, interest groups, cultural policy-makers, practising artists, the media and the general public.
Another Life samarbejder på mange forskellige måder med kulturlivetsaktører – store som små. Nedenfor ses eksempler på aktører vi samarbejder med i 2025 og 2026.
Since 2021, representatives from the Another Life secretariat have taken part in over 50 public panel discussions, debates, articles and other public discussions. We participate in the public discourse because we believe it is important to have a constructive dialogue about the value, challenges, potential and opportunities for action within the cultural sector. We are keen to contribute to the conversation wherever we can and to support the exchange of experiences, collaboration and, not least, action-oriented initiatives.
Below are five examples from 2025 of our participation in the public conversation.
As one of the leading experts in our field within the cultural sector, we frequently participate in advisory panels, peer networks, boards, mentoring schemes and similar initiatives. Here are three current examples of how we share our knowledge and support the work of advisory bodies in the cultural sector.
